Is Michael Jackson Haunting Neverland Ranch?

by Leslie Valentin
Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, passed away on June 25, 2009 as the result of medical negligence via overdose by his physician. Since the time of his passing, there have been numerous reports that Michael Jackson is still overseeing Neverland Ranch.
A haunting may occur for many different reasons; one of which is untimely deaths. With the facts in hand of how Michael Jackson died, it is no wonder that strange occurrences are being witnessed. And, it seems that Michael is not yet ready to relinquish overseeing his home in Los Olivos, California.
Hauntings have fascinated the populations for hundreds of years with fear, awe as well as curiosity. One of the biggest claims of Neverland being haunted is when Larry King went live for his show at the former home of Michael Jackson following the singer’s death. Michael had not lived at Neverland since 2005 during troubling times with legalities and other financial issues. In 2008, Neverland was sold to Sycamore Valley Ranch Company, LLC, after Michael moved to Bahrain. However, despite the physical move of the singer during his living years from the place he so dearly loved, it is no wonder that he has returned to Neverland to spend his eternity.
Are the hauntings real? There is no evidence to say otherwise; however with any celebrity death, comes a certain hype of a haunting to promote tourism and other publicity prompts. Was the shadow seen on the Larry King video really that of Michael Jackson or was it a camera man’s shadow being picked up on film. Regardless of the facts, it is believed by many; including Larry King that Michael Jackson is once again the “Lord of the manor”. Also, the reports are similar to those that are depicted at Graceland; former home of Elvis Presley.
There have been reports of Neverland being turned into a state park but nothing concrete in proof of those claims. In the meantime, Neverland Ranch is standing as an abandoned mansion. The amusement rides installed by the singer have been moved out, and the house itself, is merely a shell of its once luminous and crystalline state.
Whether or not the estate will be reopened for tours and viewings or left to collect dust and cobwebs is anyone’s guess but it seems that the spirit of Michael will continue to live on in the place he seemed happiest to be in – Neverland Ranch.
